Terms of Use
Effective date: November 2, 2026. Last updated: November 2, 2026.
These Terms of Use govern your use of splalicensing.com (the “site”), operated by Lighthouse Media, LLC, a Missouri limited liability company (“we”, “us”). By using the site, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the site.
Information only, not advice. Site content is general information about Microsoft licensing, including the Services Provider License Agreement (SPLA). It is not legal, tax, accounting or licensing advice, and reading it or emailing us does not create a consulting, attorney-client or other professional relationship. Microsoft licensing terms change often, so content may be outdated or incomplete. Always confirm against current Microsoft product terms, your own agreements, and your own legal or licensing advisors.
No guarantee of outcomes. We do not guarantee any audit, license-review, compliance or financial outcome, or that following site content will prevent findings, fees or penalties.
Paid engagements. Consulting and audit-support services are governed solely by a separate written agreement. If that agreement conflicts with these terms, the written agreement controls.
Not affiliated with Microsoft. Microsoft, SPLA, Windows, SQL Server, Azure and related names and logos are trademarks of Microsoft Corporation. We use them only to identify Microsoft products and programs. This site is independent and is not affiliated with, sponsored by or endorsed by Microsoft Corporation. Other trademarks belong to their respective owners.
Our content. Site content is © 2026 Lighthouse Media, LLC, except third-party material and trademarks. You may quote brief excerpts with attribution and a link, but may not republish whole posts or use the content commercially without our written permission.
Comments. Comments must be respectful, lawful and on-topic. Do not post confidential information, customer data, license keys or anything you do not have the right to share. We may moderate, edit or remove any comment. You keep ownership of your comments, but you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide, perpetual license to display, reproduce, adapt and distribute them in connection with the site. You are responsible for what you post.
Links. Links to third-party sites are for convenience; we are not responsible for their content or practices.
As-is; no warranties. The site and its content are provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including accuracy, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement, to the fullest extent the law allows.
Limitation of liability. To the fullest extent the law allows, Lighthouse Media, LLC and its members and agents are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, license fees or penalties, arising from your use of the site or reliance on its content. Our total liability for any claim relating to the site will not exceed US$100.
Indemnity. You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Lighthouse Media, LLC from claims, losses and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising from your comments or your breach of these terms.
Governing law and venue. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Missouri, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute relating to the site will be brought only in the state or federal courts serving St. Charles County, Missouri, and you consent to their jurisdiction.
Changes; general. We may update these terms by posting a new version here with a new “Last updated” date; continued use means you accept the changes. If any provision is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. These terms, together with our Privacy Policy, are the entire agreement about use of the site.
