SPLA Reporting Help
Not sure your monthly SPLA report is right? You’re not alone. Reports drift when servers, products, or users change and nobody updates the count.
Each month, SPLA partners send a usage report to their reseller. If nothing was used, you still send a zero-use report. Your SPLA agreement sets the due date, so check yours.
We are SPLA consultants. We are not Microsoft.
SPLA reporting help: simple checks first
- Send a report every month. Even a zero-use report.
- Count what’s really running. Don’t count from your invoices to customers.
- Match each product to the current rules. Microsoft updates the SPLA rule book (the SPUR) from time to time.
- Check where things run. Since October 1, 2025, you can’t use your own SPLA licenses on Listed Providers like AWS, Azure, Google, or Alibaba.
- Keep your old reports. Audits often look back about three years.
How our SPLA consultants help
Our Monthly Reporting Check looks at one month of your report. We point out spots that look wrong or missing, give you simple steps to fix them, and talk it through on a call.

SPLA reporting questions
What is a SPLA report?
It’s the monthly report of what Microsoft products you used to serve customers. You send it to your reseller.
What if I used nothing this month?
You still send a report. It’s called a zero-use report.
Should I count from my customer invoices?
No. Count what’s really running and who can use it, not who you billed.
Are you Microsoft?
No. We are not Microsoft.
Can you promise my report will pass an audit?
No. Nobody honest can promise that. We help you see where you stand and what to fix.
