Privacy Policy
Effective date: November 2, 2026. Last updated: November 2, 2026.
splalicensing.com (the “site”) is operated by Lighthouse Media, LLC, a Missouri limited liability company (“we”, “us”). This policy explains what personal information we collect through the site, how we use it, and your choices.
If you email info@splalicensing.com, we receive your name, email address, any other details you include, and your message. We use this to respond, to provide and manage services you request, and to keep business and accounting records. We do not sell your information or use it for unrelated marketing. Please do not send confidential customer data or license keys unless we have agreed to an engagement.
Comments
When you leave a comment, we collect the name, email address and website (optional) you enter, plus your IP address and browser user-agent string, to help detect spam. Your name, website (if given) and comment are shown publicly; your email address and IP address are not. Comments may be checked by Automattic’s Akismet spam-detection service. An anonymized string created from your email address (a hash) may be sent to Automattic’s Gravatar service to show your profile picture if you have one; see Automattic’s privacy policy.
Hosting, cookies and stats
The site is hosted on WordPress.com by Automattic Inc., which processes data on our behalf. WordPress.com and its Jetpack Stats feature use cookies and similar technologies, and collect information such as IP address, browser and device type, pages visited, referring site and approximate location, for security, spam prevention, site statistics and site features. We see this mostly as aggregated statistics. Commenting may also set cookies that remember your name and email for future comments. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; some features may not work without them. See Automattic’s privacy policy and cookie policy.
Embedded content
Posts may include content from other sites (for example, videos or social posts). Those sites may collect data, use cookies and track your interaction with that content under their own privacy policies, just as if you visited them directly.
Sharing
We share personal information only with service providers that help us run the site and our business (such as Automattic and our email provider), when required by law or to protect our rights, or in connection with a sale or reorganization of our business. We do not sell or “share” personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.
Retention
We keep emails as long as needed to handle your inquiry or engagement and for legal, tax and accounting purposes. Comments and their metadata stay until removed. Hosting and stats data are kept under Automattic’s retention practices.
Children
The site is intended for business professionals and is not directed to children under 13 (or under 16 in some regions). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has sent us information, contact info@splalicensing.com and we will delete it.
Your choices and rights
You can ask us to access, correct or delete your personal information, or remove a comment, by emailing info@splalicensing.com. Depending on where you live (for example, certain U.S. states, the EU/UK under GDPR, or other countries), you may have additional rights under applicable law; we will honor requests as required by the law that applies. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.
Security and international transfers
We use reasonable measures to protect information, but no website or email transmission is completely secure. Our service providers may process data in the United States and other countries.
Changes
We may update this policy. We will post the updated version here with a new “Last updated” date.
